Welcome to Amicizia

In Italian, Amicizia means friendship. We chose that name because friendship, fun, and camaraderie are what we are bringing to the table, alongside our fresh, delicious, authentic Italian food, which will sourced locally whenever possible.

Our journey to open an Italian restaurant began last year when Owner/Operator Ben Logan, and Co-Founder Susan "Dolce" Riposta searched for authentic Italian food in the West Asheville and Candler/Enka areas. That is when 1341 Patton Ave was found. And fell in love with the potential of that large site. However the restaurant had been closed for many years and all permitting, designing and equipment needed to be updated. The permitting has taken a lot more time than they hoped, thus their sign motto, "Rome wasn't built in a day".

The restaurant has three different main eating areas with stone fireplaces and lots of wood. The main dining room has a refined outdoor Italian café feel, while the bar area is warm and cozy. The outside area/parking lot has been the permitting problem, but it will be worth the wait because when finished, it will go under construction for a beer garden in spring!  We hope to see you there!
